Security That Protects More Than Just Space

Guardian Migizi Security is an Indigenous-led organization providing security rooted in cultural safety, respect, and trust. Our work extends far beyond standard security, we are trusted to safeguard people during some of their most vulnerable moments, whether in hospitals, community spaces, or during large-scale evacuations.

Our team is made up entirely of Indigenous people or immediate family members of Indigenous individuals. We understand the languages, teachings, and responsibilities involved in caring for Elders and community members in moments of vulnerability.

Our people understand the reality of life in the North. We cut wood for Elders, help with laundry, and even fight fires when needed. Whatever the community faces, we stand alongside them.

Why Guardian Migizi Exists

We began with a simple mission: protect Indigenous Elders, families, and communities in a way that honours tradition and dignity.

Over time, that mission has taken us into new and urgent roles, from overseeing evacuees in Thunder Bay, Niagara Falls, and Kapuskasing, to providing on-the-ground crisis response in remote First Nations.

We safeguard communities in times of crisis, from large-scale evacuations to wellness patrols in remote First Nations.

We protect with cultural understanding, speaking the language, respecting traditions, and building trust in healthcare, hospitality, and community spaces.

We deliver safety without barriers, combining security expertise with compassion, presence, and dignity wherever we’re needed.

“It’s not just about language, it’s about recognition. When an Elder hears someone speak English in an Ojibway accent, they can follow. But when they hear English in a distant or unfamiliar accent, even simple words can feel out of reach.”
